Upgrading Machinery

We have been incredibly busy throughout August, September and October, hence the delay in updating our blog!

The main news regarding our business is that over the last two months we have invested and upgraded two of our main machines. 

Panel Cutter The first machine our panel cutter was getting to the end of it's life span; the new one the 'KeenCut SteelTrak' enables us to cut much longer material over 2 metres long such as acrylic, glass, mdf board, aluminium and mount & foam boards. It's a much stronger and more robust machine and is incredibly accurate with perfect straight cuts every time.

Frame Under-Pinner The second machine is a new state of the art computerised Under-Pinner which joins all the frame corners together using specially designed pins under the frames. Again our previous under-pinner was coming to the end of it's life. This was a major £12,000 investment in the latest and most sophisticated pinner on the market which will help us produce frames of the highest quality with speed and efficiency.

We also have some more exciting new ranges, one of which has just arrived in our showroom and will be online very soon. The Galaxy range, a wooden range in four different profiles, finished in a metallic spray, Silver, Gold & Pewter we think is a perfect, simple moulding for modern and contemporary artworks. It is also FSC certified from sustainable sources!

Going forward unless the situation changes as is unfortunately happening in some regions, our showroom remains open and you can visit us any time between 10.00 and 4.30pm during the week and Saturday 9.00-2.00pm without making an appointment. We continue with social distancing where possible and are wiping down all surfaces regularly.
